Interactive primitives use Base UI. Native inputs, visible labels, keyboard actions, focus rings, dialog focus management and accessible chart data alternatives form the baseline. Tests supplement manual review; they do not certify every future application built from the kit.

Check both languages and themes, 360 / 768 / 1440 px widths, long strings, 200% zoom, reduced motion and keyboard-only navigation. Charts offer a data table. Maps have a schematic fallback. Carousels use manual controls. Video has descriptive captions.
Customize with care
Keep one clear page heading, preserve field label relationships and announce pending or error states. Provide meaningful image descriptions and control labels. A color-only distinction needs an accompanying text or icon. Recheck contrast after changing tokens.
